RS Prussia vase 8.25in Reverse Image Portrait white on shades of gray early 1900

Description

Offered is this lovely unsigned RS Prussia vase decorated with the Reverse Image Portrait of a woman looking at a flower. The portrait appears in white on a dark background.
The vase is glazed in shades of gray.
This is an unusual décor, apparently produced at the RS Suhl facility. Examples of this decorative motif are pictured in Appendix 1, pages 176-177, in Leland and Carol Marple’s reference book “R.S. Prussia: The Wreath and Star.”
The vase stands about 8.25 inches high (21 cm).
This piece dates to the early 1900s.
It is in good condition for its years. There is a tight spider crack to one side of the portrait, which we have pictured. Otherwise no chips or cracks. Crazing in the glaze is visible on the bottom.
