  • Condition: Salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid wood core made of Douglas Fir or pine covered with 1/8" thick oak veneers. 2 lites are missing, 1 is cracked, and 1 lite is regular, flat glass, not beveled. No hardware included. The door's height and width and were unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point to compensate for an old warped floor or settling foundation. 9 pieces of window molding are missing. We could make an install matching molding. The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition but does have cosmetic blemishes including scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes. However, once the door is sanded for a new coat of paint, or stripped to refinish, most of these blemishes will be removed by sanding. What remains will be covered by paint or stain, and only appear as subtle "character marks."The glass lites are fully intact and also in great shape with only subtle scratches.

    Antique French Door w/Beveled Glass
    Lovely, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid wood  core made of Douglas Fir or pine covered with 1/8" thick oak veneers. It's  painted white on both sides.
    Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike  the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.
    It has 15 true-divided windows  with 12 beveled glass lites.
    O
    ne  of those lites is cracked and
    the 13th lite was replaced with regular, flat glass at some point. We could  order and install 3 beveled glass lites, or we could even replace all of the  glass with wooden panels or any other glass that you'd like--email us  for a quote.
    Hardware
    :
    The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of  period hardware to outfit the door (check out our eBay store).

    Uneven
    Height & Width
    :
    The  door's
    height
    and width and were unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point to compensate for an old warped floor or settling  foundation. We could cut the door to an even 31 7/8" x 79 1/8", cut it  shorter/narrower, or even build it up to make it taller/wider--email us for a quote.
    9 pieces of window molding are missing. We could make an install  matching molding--email us for a quote.
    Condition
    :
